Introduction to Haryana Board of Senior Secondary Council

Established in the year 1969, The Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani is a renowned name for excellent education. To bring in quality education in the senior secondary level, the board adopted 10+2 pattern of education and started conducting class XII examinations under the new scheme with effect from 1987. Some of the other achievements of the board include:

  • Conducting 10+2 vocational examination with effect from 1990

  • Establishment of Haryana Open School (HOS) in 1994 to spread education to the socially and economically underprivileged students

Its overall responsibilities include:

  • Prescribing relevant syllabi and text books to the students studying under Haryana Board

  • Fairly and timely conducting of examinations and declaration of results

  • Using latest information technology in the Boards
