Exercise 15.1 of NCERT Class 9 Maths Chapter 15 includes questions related to finding the probability of an event. We have provided stepwise solutions for every question so that you can solve this exercise on your own easily. Here’s what this exercise includes:

Question 1: You are given that a batswoman hits a boundary 6 times out of 30 balls she plays. You have to find the probability that she did not hit the boundary.

Question 2: You are given a table that includes data about families with no girl child, one girl child and 2 girl children. You have to find the probability of a family with 2 girls, 1 girl and no girl.

Question 3: You have to refer to Example 5 in Chapter 14 and find the probability that a student of the class was born in August.

Question 4: You are given a table with data about tossing three coins 200 times. The frequency of obtaining 3 heads, 2 heads, 1 head and no head is given in the table. You have to find the probability of 2 heads coming up.

Question 5: This is a complex question where you are given data about the number of vehicles in a family and their monthly income. You have to find the probability for different scenarios given to you. This question requires a lot of calculations.

Question 6: This question is also based on a table given in Chapter 14. Here you have to find probability as per the given scenario. Our NCERT Solutions for Class 9 Maths include stepwise details of this question.

Question 7: In this question, you are given details about the opinion of students on statistics. You have to find the probability that a student likes the subject and dislikes the subject respectively.
