CBSE Class 12 Physics Practical Syllabus 2021-2022 EXam

Topic-wise Class 12 Physics Practical Syllabus 2021-2022 

 

According to the latest CBSE syllabus for Class 12 Physics practicals, students have to perform a set of experiments and activities. The whole list of practicals and activities is divided into two sections namely, Section A and Section B. In each section, you are also provided with a set of activities that you must perform to understand CBSE Class 12 Physics topics in a better way. Then, there is a list of suggested investigatory projects. Here are some examples of the experiments that you need to perform in Class 12 Physics: 

 

  • Comparing the EMF of two primary cells using a potentiometer
  • Finding the frequency of AC mains using a sonometer
  • Finding the focal length of a convex mirror and a convex lens
  • Finding the focal length of a concave mirror and a concave lens
  • Observing polarisation of light 
  • Study the nature and size of the image formed by a convex lens, concave mirror using a candle and a screen 
  • Assembling a household circuit including bulbs, switches, a fuse and a power source

#1 Are Physics practicals easy? 

 

Anything becomes easy only when you understand the purpose of it. Similarly, if you want to make Class 12 Physics practicals easy, make sure you have a complete understanding of the theoretical concepts such as refraction and reflection of light, polarisation of light, electric circuits, resistance, EMF and so on. 

 

#2 Can someone get full marks in Class 12 Physics Practicals? 

  • Yes, you can get full marks in Class 12 Physics practicals. Make sure you understand the procedures of performing the experiments and activities. 
  • You must have your practical record book prepared and signed by your teacher. 
  • Then, you must perform the experiment correctly, record the observation and write down everything clearly in the answer sheet. 
  • Answer every question confidently during the viva and you can achieve full marks.

#3 How to prepare for CBSE Class 12 Physics practicals viva? 

  • The viva is based on the topics covered in your Class 12 Physics experiments and activities. So make sure you understand them all. 
  • Sometimes, the examiner might choose another topic from the Class 12 Physics syllabus. So make sure you have studied the NCERT book thoroughly. 
  • Try to answer confidently and even if you do not know the answer, try to speak something related to the topic. This way the examiner would know that you have some knowledge. 
  • Being overconfident during your viva is not recommended as many times examiners cut marks for speaking too much.
