Eligibility Criteria

For MBBS & BDS

Candidates need to appear for the PC PMT Medical Entrance Exam 2018 to qualify. The selection will also be based on merit-cum-choice as well as the preference for college.

Domicile and Age Eligibility

• Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

• Candidates should be of 17 years of age or attain this age as on 31^st December 2018 to appear for the MBBS & BDS medical entrance exam of 2018.

Academic Eligibility

The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below

• All candidates should have passed the senior secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination or from any recognized Board which is equivalent to 10+2 examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of the study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course of English as prescribed by the NCERT after introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.

• General Category candidates must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology) taken together H.Sc. and have an aggregate 140/200 both at qualifying and competitive examinations.

• Other categories must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (physically challenged) while Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes should obtain 40%  in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology) taken together H.Sc.

• Candidates who will appear or have appeared in the qualifying examination in March / April 2018 and whose results have not yet been declared can also apply for admission, if other eligibility criteria are satisfied.
   

Entrance Examination Eligibility

Based on the result of PC PMT MBBS & BDS Medical Entrance Exam for 2018, separate merit lists will be prepared for each category.

Accordingly, names of only those candidates who the above percentile as based on the category they belong to will be included in the merit list of the PC PMT MBBS & BDS Medical Entrance Exam of 2018. Colleges and courses will be allotted strictly according to merit.

Allotment of Colleges

The allotment of colleges to the selected candidates from the common merit list through the counseling shall be done by the counseling board of the Federation. SC/ST/OBC/SBC reservations will be made as per the policy of the State Govt.

Filling out Application Form

• Read the prospectus and the instruction carefully.

• The candidate should acquaint himself/herself with all requirements with regard to filling up the application on-line as well as submission of application.

• Upload/Attach photograph and signature and other documents as stated.

• Incomplete application, application with false details would be rejected.

• The User Id will be a Unique Id and will be allotted to each candidate appearing for PC-PMT

• 2018 examination and will be useful in every correspondence related to PC-PMT 2018 examination. Therefore every candidate is requested to enter the correct mobile number and e-mail id. Application Forms can be downloaded only after successful registration.
   

Admit Cards

Admit Cards for the Entrance Examination will be made available on the Federation Website from May 2018 onwards. The admit card will contain name and date of birth as typed by the candidate in the application, photo and signature image as uploaded by the candidate;

• Examination City allotted and roll number will also be given.

• If a candidate is unable to download their hall ticket they should notify the registrar immediately.

• No candidate will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination unless he/she holds the Hall Ticket from the website of PC PMT along with identification.

Syllabus & Pattern for Entrance Examination

Syllabus

The standard of questions in the paper shall be broadly based on ten plus two (10+2) Higher/Senior Secondary examination of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Exam Pattern

The PC PMT MBBS & BDS Entrance Exam 2018 will be a computer based entrance test.

• The exam will be for three hours (9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon)

• It will be conducted in both Hindi & English

• It shall carry multiple choice questions with five options from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology)

• It will comprise of 200 Multiple choice questions

• Four marks will be allotted for each correct answer.

• There is NO Negative marking

Appearing for the PIMS-AICET MBBS Entrance Exam 2018

Candidates appearing for the medical 2018 examinations will be given a separate self-carboned three part OMR answer sheet, one of which will be the main sheet and remaining two will be the carbon copies. The candidates shall be allowed to take the third copy of the answer sheet after the examination is over.

• Read each question carefully before choosing the correct answer.

• Candidates are allowed to use only Blue/Black pens. It is advisable to select the answer only if you are sure.

• Darken the circle completely and evenly. If the correct answer, circle is marked by line, cross, dot etc., computer will not read them correctly for which candidates will be responsible.

• Candidates are advised to go through the Mock Test for various MBBS & BDS Entrance Examination – 2018.
