Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha conducts MGIMS PMT 2019 to screen students for its MBBS course. MGIMS is the only hospital in India to be started by Mahatama Gandhi - Father of our nation - at his 'karmabhoomi' Sevagram. It has the distinction of being the first rural medical college of India and has won 'A grade' rating by NAAC.

MGIMS follows a unique code of conduct where non-vegetarian food, alcohol and tobacco are a taboo and students are expected to wear hand-woven khadi, do shramdan and attend all-religion prayer on every Friday evening.

MGIMS Campus

The first MBBS batch was admitted to MGMIS in 2012. Since then, no. of MBBS seats at MGIMS has increased from 65 to 100. Wardha Medical Entrance 2019 leads to admission to these 100 MBBS seats at Wardha Medical College.

  • There is yearly rotation of 1 seat among Maharashtra and non-Maharashtra students.

Besides MBBS, the institute offers postgraduate degrees and diplomas in 20 disciplines. At present, 18 of the PG medical departments are recognised by the Medical Council India (MCI). PhDs are also available in nine medical departments that are recognised by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik (MUHS). A separate exam is held for admission to postgraduate courses of MGIMS.

Exams and Center Information

Notification (Brochure) & Application Form

Wardha PMT 2019 application form was available from December 2018 last year. Candidates could buy medical entrance forms 2019 for MGIMS in person from the Account section of the college by paying Rs 5,000 in cash or pay by Challan by paying Rs 5,000/- at any branch of the State Bank of India or SBI.

Those who chose to pay for Wardha application form 2019 through challan had to send the printout of the completed challan form and the original Demand Draft of Rs 5,000/- to the following address:

‘MGIMS Campus, Sevagram, Mythri Colony, Warud, Wardha, Maharashtra - 442102’


Admit Card

MGIMS Wardha admit card could be downloaded from the official website. Students were also sent the admit card for Wardha PMT 2019 through post by March, 10 days before the exam. Candidates were advised to contact the exam authorities if they do not receive the admit card by April 2019.

Candidates were also advised to check all the details such as the spelling of their name, father's name, exam centre, roll number etc. beforehand and notify the exam authorities immediately in case of a discrepancy. It was mandatory for all those who had successfully submitted the completed Wardha medical application form 2019 to carry the admit card to the exam centre to be able to write the entrance exam.

MGIMS Wardha PMT 2019 admit card was stated to be an important document that would be needed in all future reference and correspondence during the MGIMS admission process.
 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Wardha PMT exam, students should be at least 17 years old and have cleared Class 12 or Intermediate examination in first attempt with following subjects:

  • English,

  • Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB)

Candidates also need to score at least 50% as an aggregate in PCB to sit for MGIMS entrance exam. SC, ST and OBC candidates can write the exam if they score 40% more as an aggregate in PCB.
 

Syllabus & Paper Pattern

Information brochure for the exam does not specify exact MGIMS Wardha syllabus but multiple-choice objective questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the exam. MGIMS exam paper also includes short-answer and long-answer type questions on Gandhian thoughts.
 

Exam Preparation

If you have prepared for NEET (AIPMT) exam, then it should be enough for MGIMS MBBS exam too. However, one will need to brush up on their knowledge about Mahatma Gandhi and his philosophy before appearing for the exam too.

Results and Counseling

MGIMS Wardha PMT 2019 result was declared on May. Students could check it online by entering in their roll number and date of birth on the official website. The result was solely based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the PMT exam.

After the declaration of results, MGIMS MBBS counselling took place strictly on the basis of MGIMS Wardha PMT 2019 merit list. During the counselling, document verification and seat allotment process took place.
