Exam centers are chosen by candidates at the time of filling out application via online Test booking system is a web based online scheduling system available. Candidates can book the test schedule at the centre, date and time of their choice. The schedule bookings are done on first-come-first-served basis and are subject to availability.

The Online Test Booking Password will be sent to the candidates e-mail ID given in the application form sufficiently in advance. University will not be responsible for non receipt of e-mail if the address given is incomplete or incorrect.

Eligibility Criteria

For MBBS

Candidates need to appear for the MU-OET 2015 to qualify.


Domicile and Age Eligibility

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

  • Must have attained 17 years of age at the time of admission or should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2015 i.e. should have been born on or before 31.12.1997.


Academic Eligibility

The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below

  • The Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or equivalent thereto comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and English.

  • The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology at the qualifying examination

  • Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying examination in March / April 2015 and whose results have not yet been declared can also apply for admission, if other eligibility criteria are satisfied.

  • You can log in anytime to complete the form.

  • For secure access, the University suggests that you use the Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 or Mozilla Firefox.

  • Fill in details and click on next to proceed.

  • Online payments can be made through Debit card, Credit card, net banking or demand draft.

  • Submit form when completed.

Application Outlets

Students can visit any of the outlets in cities and states across India to collect their application form.

E- Hall Tickets

Hall Tickets for the Entrance Examination shall be available for download to candidates The e-hall ticket will be generated 24 hours after the candidate has booked his/her schedule through the online test booking system. The e-hall ticket will be issued for only those candidates who book a slot using the online test booking system before the booking end date for respective courses as per the booking schedule.

  • The e-hall ticket will indicate the e-hall ticket number, address of the test centre, test date & time selected by the candidate. Discrepancies, if any, must be brought to our notice immediately. 
  • The e-hall ticket will be made available here. Candidate should provide the application form number and online test booking password to download the e-hall ticket. The copy of the e-hall ticket will also be emailed to the candidate. Candidates must provide valid email ID in the application form.

  • The e-hall ticket will NOT be dispatched to candidates via post or fax. 

  • Candidates should ensure that a printer is connected to their computer while printing the e-hall ticket. Candidates should take two print outs of the e-hall ticket using the print option on A4 size paper only. Please ensure that all information on the e-hall ticket including photograph is clearly visible on the print out. 

  • No candidate will be permitted to appear for the test without a valid e-hall ticket. 

  • The candidates must not mutilate the e-hall ticket or change any entry made therein after it has been authenticated and received by them. The e-hall ticket is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence. 

  • The e-hall ticket is an important document; it must be preserved and produced at the time of counseling/admission. 

  • Report to the selected test centre with the two copies of the e-hall ticket, one photocopy of the application form and any one of the following for photo identification: 

  • Passport/Driving License/EC Voter ID card/IT PAN card or School/College photo-bearing ID card

Syllabus

Exam Pattern

The MU-OET Entrance Exam 2015 will be a computer based entrance test.

  • The MU-OET 2015 will be for two and a half hours.

  • The exam is conducted in English

  • It shall carry 200 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General English and Aptitude.

Appearing for the MU-OET 2015

The candidate sits in front of the computer and the questions are presented on the monitor and the candidate submits his/her answers through the use of mouse. The computer is connected to the server, which delivers the test, in real time through a reliable connectivity.

Online Entrance test assumes that the candidate has basic familiarity with use of computers like use of keyboard and mouse operation. It is the responsibility of the candidate to acquire these skills before appearing in the test and the University cannot take responsibility for the same.

The final score will be displayed on the test screen immediately after the completion of the test.

In the rare and unlikely event of a technical failure during the test, the candidate may be required to attempt for the test again.

Attempting Sample Papers for Practice

The Manipal University MBBS ENTRACNE result will be based on merit. The test score will be displayed as soon as you finish your exam. Candidates must visit the university website to check out the exam result. It cannot be stressed enough that the University will not re-evaluate any answer sheets.
 

Counselling

Once the results have been declared, students will once again have to visit the University website to learn about the day they have been called for counseling. Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility requirements as stated in the prospectus. Given below are the counseling schedules according to rank.

  • Physical presence of the candidate is mandatory. If a candidate is prevented by unavoidable circumstances from being physically present for the counseling, he/she may authorize another individual to represent him/her at the counseling.  This representative must carry the letter of authorization

  • Candidates will be required to attend Counseling and Medical Examination at the Institute at their own cost on the notified date.

  • Candidates will be called as per their MU-OET 2015 rank for biometrics and document verification. Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available.  Such candidates should submit their original documents and pay the first year fees at the counseling. The University will not entertain any requests for extension in this regard.

  •  Absence of the candidate or his/her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.

  • The choice of course made by the candidate/representative is final and binding and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.

  • They have to produce the original Mark Sheet of the qualifying examination and other original documents mentioned in this Prospectus such as proof of age, Transfer Certificate, Character Certificate, passport size photographs, etc.

  • Admission will not be finalized unless the candidates produce all the original documents and the Transfer Certificate.

  • There will be no allocation of marks for the counseling. Only after due verification of documents, biometric data, the provisional admission letters will be issued.

Candidates who fail to attend co Tentative Schedule for Online Counseling / medical examination on the notified date shall forfeit their claim for admission and placement in the waiting list.
