Candidates appearing the exam have to be an Indian citizen unless otherwise notified. OCI (Overseas Citizen of India), PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) are also treated as the Indian citizens for the sake of admission purposes, although OCI and PIO candidates are not eligible for any sort of reservations. The candidates applying for the professional courses are to be categorized as:
Category I – Keralite: Candidates of Kerala origin are eligible to be in this category. The children of AIS officers of Non-Kerala origin are deemed to be “Keralites” according to the G.O. (Rt) No. 822/08/H. Edn dated 29/05/2008. Although they are not eligible for any reservations (Special Persons with disability)
Category II - Non-Keralite: Candidates who are not of Kerala origin and also fulfill any one of the criteria mentioned below are categorized as ‘Category II - Non-Keralite’:
Candidates qualified for the courses in Kerala and are the sons/daughters of Non- Keralite parents who are working for the Government of India or in Defence and are being posted in Kerela.
Candidates undergone qualifying course in Kerala and are the sons/daughters of Non- Keralite parents who have served or are still serving the Government of Kerala for a minimum interval of 2 years.
Candidates who are not of Kerala Origin but have been a resident of Kerala for 5 years within the period of 12 years are categorized as Category II - Non-Keralite’.
Candidates of Non-Kerala origin but has undergone schooling in the state of Kerala from class VIII to XII.
The Medical courses includes courses BHMS, BDS, BSMS, BAMS and MBBS and the Allied courses includes courses B.Sc.(Hons) Forestry, B.Sc.(Hons)Agriculture, AH and BFSc. Courses and BVSc).
For BSMS, BDS and MBBS:
Candidates clearing the HSE of Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or equivalent with 50% marks scored in Biotechnology/Biology separately, along with an average score of 50% marks secured in Chemistry, Physics and Biotechnology/Biology altogether are eligible.
Candidates scoring minimum of 50% in the Medical Entrance Examination (Paper I & II taken together) of KEAM-2019 only will be considered for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.
Candidates belonging to SEBC/ST/SC are to be considered eligible only if they have the scores of a minimum of 40% in the Medical Entrance Examination (Paper I & II taken together). Candidates scoring 45% in the Medical Entrance Examination (Paper I & II taken together) with Locomotory disability of lower limbs (40% to 70%) will also be considered eligible for the admissions into MBBS courses.
For admission into other medical courses (BHMS, BSMS, BAMS):
Candidates who have cleared the HSE of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or equivalent examinations with a minimum of 50% in Biology, Chemistry and Physics all together are eligible for the admissions procedures.

The candidates can pay the fee in two of ways, by security card and by demand draft. Security card and Prospectus can be availed from selected Post Offices of Kerala as well as outside Kerala by paying the prescribed fee. A special security number is mentioned on the Security card which is to be used at the time of filing the form online. Also the candidates can pay the fee by drawing a DD in the favor of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates residing at Dubai and have chosen the Dubai as the centre of examination are supposed to make the payments as mentioned in the Clause 7.2.2, with the printout of the application attached.
The status of the applications made for the KEAM entrance exam 2019 will be made available on the home pages of all candidates and they can view them after logging into it. The status of the application can also be viewed there.
Reasons why the applications get rejected:
Different photographs of the applicant attached with the printout of application and the Online form.
The photo not duly attested by the Gazetted Officer or by Head of the Institution which he/she studied last.
If the signature of the applicants have not made the signatures in the mentioned areas on the printout of the Application the chances of form getting rejected is high.
As per the format if the Course Certificate/Mark list are not attached then also the form gets rejected.

The Hall Tickets/Admit cards for the entrance exams can be obtained from the official website. The print out of the Admit cards is to be taken as they will not be sent by post.
Syllabus
The syllabus for the KEAM entrance exam for Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology will be based on the syllabus being followed by the 10 + 2 Boards.
Exam Pattern
As per the regulations being issued by the Council of Architecture, there will be a centralized mechanism of conducting a “National Aptitude Test in Architecture” (NATA), which is mandatory for admission. There are four papers for the exams, in two slots. Paper I- Physics & Chemistry, Paper II Mathematics, Paper III Chemistry & Physics and Paper IV Biology. Each paper’s duration is of two and a half hours duration. The papers will be consisting of objective type questions with Multiple Choices. For every question there will be five suggested answers and among which only one would be the most suitable response.
Tips & Tricks for KEAM Entrance Exams Preparation
Remember 3c’s: Before going for the exams there is a normal panic in the minds of the candidates appearing. You need to remember the 3c’s, Calm, Composed and Confident. This can give you an inner confidence and can reduce the pressure of the exam.
Time Management: The deciding factor that most of the candidates find tough is the time factor. Preparing the early plans and managing the time in a planned way can help at the last moment preparation relaxing. Also, you can work on the difficult areas of the syllabus in the time saved.
Doubt clearing: When you practice, there are the high chances of having some of the obstacles coming out from nowhere. These are to be cleared at the earliest and for this you need to be in touch with the guiding faculties, friends and even online guides available.
The previous year’s papers are made available on the website of askiitians.com and are also absolutely free. It is always advised to check the answers provided against the solutions provided for all the previous year question paper of all India medical entrance test. This is helpful in getting the clear understanding of the concept. Also, the candidates are advised to attempt all the practice papers of the previous year’s KEAM Entrance Exams in order to have the proper idea of the format of the question and also to identify the difficulty level of the papers.

As per the statistics available, about 1, 02, 554 candidates appeared the KEAM Entrance Exams 2018 on the offline mode. The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Thiruvananthapuram, reported that the exam was successfully conducted at various centers in 20 districts of Kerala along with four centers outside the state and even at Dubai. The Commissioner also mentioned that the exam went smoothly without any problems so far.
The KEAM Entrance Exams 2018 exam was formatted such that it included 3 papers, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Each paper comprised of 120 questions of objective type with multiple choices and the duration to attempt the paper was 2 and half hours. Each question carried 4 marks each with one negative mark to be deducted for each wrong answer.
As per the experiences of the students who appeared the KEAM Entrance Exams 2018 the paper set for Biology was easier comparatively and the overall medical paper was also easier than that of the engineering one. A few of the Physics questions were tough and the chemistry was at par.
The ranks of the Medical & Allied Courses are prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in Paper I and Paper II of the KEAM Entrance Examination.
The counseling for the KEAM Entrance Exams 2019 has commenced online of June, 2019 and will continue June 2019. Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) is implemented for the selection procedures and the candidates are required to submit the college and course preference through the Single Window System (SWS) and the process will be strictly on the basis of the KEAM 2019 merit list. The reservation policies as mentioned by the CCE (Commissioner for Entrance Examinations), Kerala will be implemented.

The KEAM Entrance Exams 2019 cut off is the least score determined to be screened for the admissions in to the medical colleges in Kerala.
