The exam centers allotted for this exam include Bangalore, Gulbarga, Mangalore, Bijapur, Gurgaon, Mysore, Chennai, Hubli, Tumkur, Devangere, and Hyderabad.
You will need to enter your preferred centre while filling out your online application form
You will be asked to enter your first preference as well as your second preference while filling out the online form
The center will be allotted as per the preference entered by you. In case the first preferred center is unavailable, you will be automatically allotted the next preferred center entered by you in the form
Once the exam center has been allotted to you, it will not be changed under any circumstances
In case it is mandatory for you to get the exam center changed, and you have availed the valid permission based on a valid reason, you may be considered for a change. Even then the exam policies do not promise a change of the exam center
In case of natural or manmade calamities, the examination authorities bear the right to change your exam center.
The examination authorities have a right to cancel or change your exam center if required
Karnataka PGET 2015 Course Information
The candidates participating in this examination will gain admission to MBBS and BDS courses in the colleges across Karnataka.
Academics
The candidate must possess a MBBS degree from a reputed medical college within or outside Karnataka
The institute should be affiliated to a reputed University and should be recognized by the medical council of India
Domicile
The candidate should be a citizen of India
The candidate should have Karnataka origin which simply means:
a. The candidate should have studied in one or more government recognized institutes based out in Karnataka for a minimum period of 10 years
b. The candidate should have passed either his/her 10th or 12th examination in Karnataka
c. In case, the candidate has taken more than a year to pass either of the exams, even then the total years counted would be one
d. Documents for the same include: SSCL marksheet, 12th standard marks, study certificate to be produced by the candidate, qualifying degree certificate, domicile certificate by Tahsildar, MCI/State council registration certificate, attempt certificate
e. The candidate is eligible for Karnataka origin in case they have finished their 1st as well as the 2nd year pre-university exam within Karnataka
f. For this the documents required would be SSCL or 10th marksheet, 12th marksheet, study certificate, qualifying degree certificate, domicile and caste certificate (if applicable)
For the candidates interested in taking up the Karnataka PGET examination, online registrations are open. The candidate will need to fill out the online application forms and submit it to be eligible for the examination.
The last date to submit the online application forms would be 31st January 2014.

Payment for Applications
You can make your payment online using either the credit or debit card
For SC/ST/Disabled the payable fees would be Rs. 2750 while for the general category the payable fees would be Rs. 4250
The exam fees are not refundable. In case you fail to appear for the exam, you will not be getting the paid amount back
By applying online, you are accepting the terms and conditions involved in online application for the exam
Registration Guide
To begin registration you will need to create an online profile
The approximate time to register your details would be around 15-20 minutes
You can choose new application or previous application on the opening screen to begin registrations
If you choose new application, you will need to enter your name and other personal details to start with
Make sure all the details mentioned as per the ones mentioned on your MBBS degree
You will be receiving an OTP once you submit all your details
Now once you have entered the OTP, you will be redirected to the home screen, where you will begin the application filling out procedure
You will need to fill out name, date of birth, gender, category, domicile, nationality etc. details as mentioned on your MBBS degree
Enter your correspondence address, mobile number, educational qualification etc. details too in the form
Make sure you attach your latest photograph along with the application form
The signature should be the one that you generally use
You should declare all the details mentioned in the form to the best of your knowledge. Do not forge any detail
Admit cards can be downloaded from the official website. The last date to download the admit cards would be 7th February 2014.
Candidate will need to bring along a printed copy of the admit card along with a proof of identity to the Karnataka PGET 2014 examination.
Make sure the proof of identity includes one of the following: pan card/driving license/voter’s id/passport/ adhar card etc.
This is a multiple choice paper where you will be asked 200 questions all objective. You will need to answer the questions in English language only
The subjects based on which questions will be asked include anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology, microbiology, forensic medicine, community medicine, general medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, dermatology, radiology, general surgery, anesthesiology, ophthalmology etc.

Gather all Materials
When you sit to study, planning is vital. Make sure you have all the necessary material with you before you begin your study. Get all that you will need based on the syllabus for the exam.
Plan your Schedule
It is important to acknowledge all the study material. Now plan your schedule and divide it equally into the various topics that are important to the exam. If you are studying radiology topics, and there are four topics divide it into the days or hours as you feel convenient. Remember you need to plan as per your grasping power and your own command on the subject. Don’t make unrealistic plans
Enough Time for Revision
Your schedule should include good amount of time for revision. At least two revisions are a must before you are set for the final examination date
Prepare Notes
When you are studying it is important that you get down to working on the notes. Make sure you have handy notes ready on every topic you have written about. These notes will help you out when you are revising
Mock Exams
Give your mock tests in actual exam environment. Keep a stop watch to keep a check on the time, and don’t miss out on the deadlines. Solve every question. Time your topics and see how much time you take to answer the questions
Solving Papers
After you have written the exams, analyze your whole paper. See where you are going wrong and where you are perfect. Make sure you make notes on your analysis and keep a record of your improvement
Consult Experts
In case there is a particular subject that you seem to be losing out on majorly, then connect with experts. You will get good help in the process
There will be areas within the paper where you will be strong while there will be areas where you are weak. Concentrate on the areas you are weak and start strengthening them while you are studying. This way you will be absolutely prepared for the exam.
There is a minimum qualifying criteria for the Karnataka PGET
50% or more should be scored for the general category
40% or more for the SC/ST category
45% for people with disability
The examination results will be valid for the current year admissions only. It will become invalid once the admissions are over
The results will be declared online by 28th February 2014. You can download the score card from the following website www.nbe.gov.in/PGET
Reevaluation is not allowed. So results once announced are declared as final results
The seat matrix as well as the counseling dates would be announced on the website www.nbe.gov.in/PGET/
You will need to keep a track of this website to know when your counseling date is. No personal intimation is given to the students. The students will need to be present on the counseling date
Biometric verification will be conducted and the results will be verified with the ones taken during the entrance exam for the perfect match
The biometric verification is planned at various levels to avoid any sort of fraudulent practices.
