Medical entrance exam for undergraduate courses in IPU affiliated colleges is conducted in two stages:

  • MBBS Stage I exam

  • Those who clear the Stage I exam will appear for MBBS Stage II exam

IPUCET MBBS exam is a paper-based exam where students have to mark the correct answers in an OMR sheet using only a black ball pen.

There is negative marking in the exam where 1 mark is deducted from the total score of a candidate for each incorrect answer as well as each answer in which more than one option has been marked as answer.

It is to be noted that competition level of the medical exam is very high. Hence, candidates will have to prepare well for the exam.

IPUCET 2017 Exam Result

In case of a tie, candidates who get more marks in Physics will be given higher ranking. If the tie is still not broken, Chemistry marks and then, Biology marks are considered as tie-breaker. In the end, candidate older in age is given higher ranking.

The University declared displays the CET result on its official website: www.ipu.ac.in. It does not issue any separate rank card or dispatch exam marks to candidates individually. It also does not have any provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of OMR answer sheet.

Seat allotment for MBBS and BDS courses will be done on the basis of IPUCET 2017 merit list (which is based on the second stage exam scores).
