ASSO CET 2019: For Private Medical Colleges in Maharashtra

The Association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges, Maharashtra (AMUPMDC) conducts the Common Entrance Test called ASSO CET. This medical entrance exam is conducted for admissions to Health Science Courses in Private Unaided Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Nursing Colleges.

  • MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery

  • BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery

  • BAMS - Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery

  • BPTh – Bachelor of Physiotherapy

  • BOTh- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

  • BASLP - Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology

  • BSc Nursing

Important Dates for ASSO CET 2019

ASSO CET Eligibility Criteria

 Nationality

 Indian nationals, NRIs and foreigners are eligible for the exam.

Proof of Nationality

Candidates are required to produce their Class 12 certificates indicating their nationality. Foreign nationals are required to produce their valid passports.

Age Limit

  • For MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing, candidates must be born on or before December 31,2001.

  • BAMS candidates must be born on or before October 1,2001.

 Educational Qualification

  • For MBBS, BDS and BAMS courses, students need 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology in Class 12. For reserved category students, 40% marks are needed.

  • For B. Sc (Nursing), open category must have obtained not less than 45% Marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English in class 12.for reserved category students,40% marks are needed.

ASSO CET Exam Pattern

ASSO CET 2019 is a paper-based exam. It consists of single question paper for Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology).The duration of the exam is 3 hours and has 200 Multiple Choice Questions. 50 questions will be asked from Physics, 50 questions from Chemistry and 100 questions from Biology.

 The candidates have to fill-up circles with black ball-point pen only.

Each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

Candidates will not be allowed to sit for the exam without admit cards and identity cards of school last attended.

ASSO CET 2019 Result

Once the results are declared in May, students can access their answer sheets by contacting the authority within 8 days and submitting a DD of Rs 1,000/- drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of “AMUPMDC” and payable at Mumbai. Students will be given photocopy of their answer sheets and the model answer key after verification.

ASSO CET 2019 merit list will be drawn on the basis of exam scores. In case of a tie:

  • Candidates with higher marks in Biology are given preference. If tie still exists,

  • Candidates with higher marks in Chemistry are given preference. If tie still exists,

  • Candidate with higher percentage of aggregate marks in the Class 12 exam are given preference. If tie still exists,

  • Older candidates are given preference.

Mark sheets will be delivered by speed post within two weeks after declaration of ASSO CET result. Duplicate mark sheets can be obtained by applying for it and submitting a DD of Rs 1,000/- in favor of “AMUPMDC” and payable at “Mumbai”.

How to apply for ASSO CET 2019?

Eligible candidates can fill up the ASSO CET application form online. While filling up the application form, students have to indicate their preferences for the Health Science courses and colleges. Students will be allotted seats on the basis of merit and their preferences. List of colleges and courses are expected to be displayed on the website in July.

Candidates can indicate as many as 100 preferences at once. Once the Preference Form is submitted, candidates will not be allowed to make any changes to it. Candidates are advised to take printout of their Preference Form after submitting it for personal record.

If a student fails to join his allotted college, he/she is debarred from subsequent ASSO CET admission process.
