Note: For applications posted from Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Lahaul and Spiti Districts, and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Lakshwadeep Islands, the last date for receipt of application via post is March 2018.

The AIPVT 2018 has exam centers all over the country. They are Agartala, Ahemdabad, Aizwal, Agra, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhopal, Bhubneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Imphal, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Kurukshetra, Lucknow, Lakshwadeep, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Port Blair, Puducherry, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Trivanthapuram and Varanasi

Candidates are advised to visit the Board website to get the exam center codes and pick on three choices.Exam centers are chosen by candidates at the time of filling out applications.

  • City and address for the center of examination will be given on the Hall Ticket.

  • No request for change of center will be considered under any circumstances.

  • Candidates must bear all costs such as transportation, etc., to appear for the examination.

  • Timings of the exam are mentioned on the Admit Card and it is the responsibility of the candidate to reach the center to enter the examination hall half-an-hour before the scheduled commencement of exam.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to appear for a pre medical test AIPVT 2018 to qualify.
 

Domicile and Age Eligibility

  • Candidate seeking admission to AIPVT should be an Indian citizen except from the State of Jammu and Kashmir as the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 do not extend to State of Jammu and Kashmir.  

  • She/he must have attained 17 years of age at the time of admission or should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2018.
     

Academic Eligibility

The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below

  • The Higher Secondary Certificate/Indian School Certificate Examination/Central Board of Education Examination or an equivalent examination thereto comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

  • The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at the qualifying examination

  • Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination

  • Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying examination in May 2018 and whose results have not yet been declared can also apply for admission and appear in the pre medical test, if other eligibility criteria are satisfied.
     

Entrance Examination Eligibility

Admissions shall be made on the basis of inter-se merit of the candidates qualified at all India entrance exams.

  • Candidates belonging to the open category must secure not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the AIPVT 2018 examination.

  • Candidates belonging to backward classes must secure not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the examination conducted for AIPVT 2018.

AIPVT 2018 Application forms can be obtained from the VCI office or from the VIjaya Bank Branches or from the VCI website. Application may be collected personally by registered post/speed post with a written request from:

Submission of Application Form

Application for AIPVT may be submitted personally or mailed (by registered post/speed post) to the above mentioned address. Personally delivered or couriered applications will not be accepted.

  • The application must be submitted with an enclosed DD drawn in the favor of “Veterinary Council of India-Examination Fund, New Delhi” payable at New Delhi.

  • Candidates need to specify their State domiciles.

  • Incomplete application, application with false details or application form not accompanied by a demand draft would be rejected.
     

General Instruction for Filling out Application Form

  • Read the prospectus and the instruction carefully.

  • Application should be filled in English only.

  • Use dark blue or black pen only to fill out the application form.

  • The candidate should acquaint himself/herself with all requirements with regard to filling up the application on-line as well as submission of AIPVT application form.
     

Admit Cards

The Admit cards will be sent to candidates via Speed Post from April 2018. If you do not receive the card by April 2018, you should contact ‘The Controller of Examination” at the above mentioned address. There is no provision to download the Admit Card from the AIPVT website.

  • The AIPVT admit card will indicate the seat number, the examination centre (with its address) allotted to the candidate.

  • The candidate should not mutilate the admit card or change any entry made therein after it has been authenticated by the Board authorities.

  • Note that issue of Admit Card for AIPVT is just a provision for appearing for the entrance examination and does not imply that the candidate is eligible for admission in.
     

Syllabus & Pattern for AIPVT 2018


Syllabus

The syllabus for the combined entrance test for Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology will be based on syllabus followed for 11th and 12th standard for India’s Boards/Universities. No separate syllabus is prescribed.


Exam Pattern

The AIPVT 2018 exam pattern will be for three hours i.e. 180 minutes. It will be conducted in English and shall carry 200 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Appearing for the AIPVT 2018 Exam

It is mandatory for the candidate appearing for entrance exam for medical to report 30 minutes before the start of the exam at the center mentioned on the admit card.

  • Read and follow instructions carefully.

  • Read each question carefully before choosing the correct answer.

  • Each question carries three marks.

  • One mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

  • Use of dark blue or black pen is mandatory while appearing for the pre-veterinary examinations.

  • Select the answer only if you are sure of the answer and darken circle accordingly in your OMR booklet.

  • Duplicate answers are not counted so darken circle only when sure of an answer.

  • Candidates are advised to go through the Mock Test for various entrance exams for medical admissions to understand AIPVT medical exam pattern.

  • Any correspondence or communication regarding re-evaluation of papers is not entertained.

AIPVT Entrance Exam Solutions

Results

AIPVT 2018 entrance result will be based on merit. Merit list of candidates will be displayed on the notice board of colleges as well as on the website. Individual students will be notified by post.
 

Counselling

Once the results have been declared, students will be notified individually for the AIPVT Counseling dates 2018. You can also keep a lookout on the website for updates. Counseling will be held at Universities/Colleges to which they are eligible for admission.

  • Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility requirements as stated in the prospectus before reporting for counseling to AIPVT.

  • Physical presence of the candidate is mandatory on the counseling date 2018. If a candidate is prevented by unavoidable circumstances from being physically present for the counseling he/she may authorize another individual to represent him/her at the counseling. This representative must carry the letter of authorization

  • Candidates will be required to attend Counseling at the Institute at their own cost on the notified date.

  • Absence of the candidate or his/her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.

  • The appearance at AIPVT 2018 and inclusion of name in the merit list do not necessarily mean that candidate shall get admission to the course. Admission to the course shall depend upon the availability of seat at the time of turn for veterinary admission.

  • At the time of counseling, candidates have to produce all documents as stipulated and other terms and conditions as stated in all Indian PMT forms.

  • Admissions made at the admission sessions 2018 are provisional, subject to verification of eligibility by the Admission Committee.
