Armed Forces Medical College is one of the most elite medical institutes of the country. The college provides guidance and training to various medical and nursing students. AFMC has decided not to conduct its separate AFMC entrance exam 2018 for admission to various undergraduate medical courses. The candidates shall be admitted on the basis of NEET (AIPMT) 2018 scores. NEET (AIPMT) is All India Pre-Medical entrance test conducted by CBSE for admission to 15% seats in various Government Dental/ Medical colleges.
Out of a total of 130 seats in AFMC MBBS 2018, 10 seats are reserved for those belonging to scheduled castes or scheduled tribes. Not more than 25 girls out of a total of 130 shall be admitted to the MBBS course.Those desirous of seeking admission in AFMC have to appear in NEET (AIPMT) 2018 in addition to filling up of AFMC MBBS Admission form.
Those willing to pursue their MBBS courses from AFMC Pune must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Applicant must be a citizen of India.
Only those with sounds health and who are medically fit are eligible for the admission.
Only those who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with subjects like English, Physics, Chemistry and Biologyshall be considered.
Only unmarried candidates are eligible and the norms of AFMC do not permit the candidate to get married during the MBBS course.
Age requirement will vary according to the academic qualifications:
10+2 or equivalent: The candidate should be at least 17 years old on December 31, 2018 but should not be more than 22 years of age on the same date.This means that only those born not earlier than January 01, 1996 and not after December 31, 2000 are eligible to take the exam.
Those who have qualified their B.Sc. or are in their final year: The age of the candidate should be below 24 years.
All those who stand eligible for NEET (AIPMT) 2018 may fill in the AFMC MBBS Admission form 2018 regardlessof their domicile.
Those who wish to pursue MBBS programme from AFMC Pune must fill sit for NEET (AIPMT). Moreover, they must also fill in the online AFMC MBBS 2018 application. The cost of the application form is Rs. 250 which must be paid through SBI Bank Challan. The important dates of AFMC PG entrance exam are listed below:
May, 2018: Registration of AFMC MBBS 2018 ends
May, 2018: Last date for filling the application for AFMC MBBS 2018
May, 2018: Last date of acceptance of Challah in SBI Bank
AFMC will not conduct its separate AFMC medical test. The admissions shall be made on the basis of scores obtained in NEET (AIPMT) 2018. NEET (AIPMT) 2018 is a 3 hours exam which asks a total of 180 questions. The section-wise division of questions is as follows:
Chemistry: 45 questions
Biology: 45 questions
English and Logical : 45 questions

Procedure: Candidates will first be shortlisted on the basis of NEET (AIPMT) scores.A merit list will be prepared on the basis of AFMC MBBS 2018 and then the selected candidates shall be called for the Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (TOELR) and Psychological assessment cum Interview.This is followed by the AFMC MBBS 2018 assessment test which is conducted sometime in June or July.
Some important points about the assessment test:
Computer based test of English Language, Comprehension and Logic and Reasoning (ToELR).
The test shall consist of 40 multiple choice questions. The applicants shall be required to answer these questions in 30 minutes.
Every correct answer will fetch a score of +2, while incorrect answers will be marked as -0.5.
The final AFMC MBBS 2018 score will be calculated on the basis of the score obtained by the candidate in NEET (AIPMT) 2018, ToELR and interview.
