Age Limit
  • The minimum age limit set by the NTA for NEET is 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission and this belongs to the candidates of all the categories.
  • The maximum age limit set by the NTA for NEET is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of admission and this belongs to the candidates of GENERAL category.
  • The maximum age limit set by the NTA for NEET is 30 years as on 31st December of the year of admission and this belongs to the candidates of reserved category.

Year of Passing
  • Candidates who are appearing for their board exams in 2020 are eligible to take down the NEET.
  • Candidates who’ve already appeared for their 12th standard exam in 2019 and appearing for an improvement exam in the year 2020 are eligible for NEET 2020.
  • Those candidates who’ve appeared for their 12th class examination in the year 2018 and have appeared for the improvement examination in 2019 are eligible. All they need to do is mention the year of the exam and the better score.

Educational Qualification and Aggregate Marks
  • General Category - 50% marks in 12th class
  • Physically Handicapped (General Category) - 45% marks in 12th class
  • OBC/SC/ST - 45% marks in 12th class
  • Physically Handicapped (OBC/SC/ST) - 40% marks in 12th class

Note: The marks scored in Mathematics subject won’t be taken into consideration for NEET examination.


Nationality
  • Applicants should be the citizens of India.
  • Indian Nationals, NRIs, Overseas Citizen of India, Foreign Nationals, and Persons with Indian Origin are eligible to apply for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test under the 15% All India Quota Seats.
