Eligibility Criteria


Undergraduate and Post Graduate Courses

Bachelor of Engineering (B. Tech.) & Master of Engineering (M. Tech.): For (B. Tech. / M. Tech. (Dual Degree) Chemical Engineering, (B. Tech. / M. Tech. (Dual Degree) Information Technology, B. Tech./M. Tech. (Dual Degree) Computer Science & Engineering, B. Tech./M. Tech. (Dual Degree) Electronics & Communication Engineering, B. Tech. (Information Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering., Mechanical & Automation Engineering., Power Engineering., Electrical & Electronics Engineering., Civil Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Tool Engineering. & Environment Engineering.

  • The Course Code for B. Tech. and M. Tech. is 131.
  • Candidates must have cleared 10+2 examination from CBSE or any examination of similar level with at least 55% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates are required to pass each subject individually. Candidates are also required to have passed English as a (core/elective/functional) in the 10 + 2 qualifying examination.
     

Eligibility Criteria for Age

  • As on August 8th, 2012 a candidate appearing for any Undergraduate program who has qualified his/her 10 + 2 examination should not be more than 21 years old.
  • As on August 8th, 2012 a candidate appearing for any Post Graduate program who has qualified his/her graduation examination should not be more than 35 years old.
     

In case of Compartment

Candidates who have appeared for their qualifying examination should not have got compartment in any of the subjects. Candidates are advised to take note that if for some reason their result is not declared before the admission process, they will not be considered for admission.

Candidates with Compartment in any of the academic years or semesters of the qualifying degree examination may be considered for admission.

If the result of the Compartment/Supplementary examination(s) gets declared by the time of admission/counselling, then such candidates shall be considered for admission provided he/she fulfills the eligibility conditions. 

Candidates appearing for their 10 + 2 examination are eligible to apply provided they fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

Candidates who have acquired the minimum prescribed qualification must show proof for the same at the time of counselling/admission.

Candidates who will be taking their qualifying examination will be eligible to apply. But, if for some reason a candidate doesn’t get his/her final result of the qualifying examination before the admission process, he/she will be granted with a provisional admission provided they fulfill the required eligibility criteria.
