The IIT council will follow the below mentioned procedures for determining the cut-off marks and ranking:

align= The students attempting both Paper - 1 and Paper - 2 of JEE (Advanced) -2013 will be considered for the ranking.

The calculation of marks per subject would be thus:

Marks in Physics in JEE (Advanced) - 2013 = Marks in Physics section of Paper – 1 + Marks in Physics section of Paper - 2.

Similarly, the marks for Chemistry and Mathematics will be calculated adding the marks in the respective sections of Paper – 1 and Paper - 2.

The sum of the marks obtained in the individual subjects will be the aggregate marks for the candidate.
