  • The Cutoff for JEE Main has been announced for the 2nd stage of admission to the IITs. The top 1.5 lakh candidates will be eligible for giving a shot at JEE Advanced.

  • The 2015 JEE Cutoff has been determined by each exam paper’s difficulty level. It is also determined in proportion to the total number of seats that are available for admission to the prestigious IITs.

  • This score in combination with the candidate’s Class XII performance will determine the 2015 JEE Main All India Rank, which will be taken into consideration for admission into NITs, SFTIs, CFTIs, and IIITs. CBSE, which is JEE Main’s conducting body, will declare this rank on July 5, 2015.

Comparison of Subjects:

With regards to the different papers, students showed mixed reactions about the entire entrance exam experience. Several candidates found the online entrance exam tough in comparison with the offline entrance examination. Most candidates found the Chemistry paper to be fairly easy. Majority of the candidates said that Physics was the toughest paper in PCM. For some students, Mathematics was the most difficult. Overall, JEE Main 2015 was moderate in difficulty.

Rank Predictor:

The Rank Predictor for JEE Main 2015 is a simple-to-use tool that helps IIT aspirants gauge their probable rank before the result date of JEE Main 2015. To calculate the probable JEE Main rank, candidates need to know their 2015 JEE Main score. The rank can then be calculated using the Answer Key. It should be noted that the Rank Predictor lacks 100% accuracy; however, if a candidate wants to know his or her tentative rank in JEE Main 2015, he or she can use the 2015 JEE Main Rank Predictor tool.

Branch Predictor:

To gauge their possible branch in advance, candidates can use the Branch Predictor tool. Firstly, candidates need to select a preferred branch. Secondly, they need to enter their actual rank or predicted one, along with Rank Type, Category, and the Type of Round, such as Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, Spot Round, and Extra Spot Round. Through the Branch Predictor, candidates can have a better understanding of the probable branch.

How Many Marks Needed in JEE Main 2015 to Gain Admission Into a Good College?

Students who appear for JEE Main or any other engineering entrance examination want to know the number of marks needed to secure admission into a reputable engineering college. To answer this question, one needs to keep in mind the following facts.

  • For JEE Advanced eligibility, candidates should be among the top 1.5 lakh candidates who have cleared JEE Main 2015.

  • The All India Rank (AIR) for JEE Main 2015 is determined by taking into consideration scores obtained in JEE Main 2015 (which is given 60% weightage) and performance in Class XII Board Exams (which is given 40% weightage). The AIR will finally determine whether you gain admission into an IIT.

  • An excellent engineering college could mean IITs for one student, NITs for some, or a specific college that offers a special branch of science of technology for others. With each college having different cutoffs, candidates need to analyze the previous year cut-offs to gauge their chances of admission in each college.

This concludes the comprehensive analysis of the JEE Main 2015 Results.
