JEE Main 2014 result

New Delhi: JEE Main 2014 exams were conducted online and offline on April 6, 9, 11 and 12. Over 14 lakh engineering aspirants appeared for the exam this year. The results of JEE Main is to be declared on May 3 and will decide the fate for all those who are targeting IITs, NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).

Top 1,50,000 students from various JEE Main merit lists will be eligible to sit for the IIT JEE Advanced exam if they are within top 20 percentile of their respective boards in the qualifying examination. The eligible candidates will have to register for the exam right from May 4, 2014 onwards.

Result for JEE Main 2014 will remain valid for two years. Hence, students who clear this exam can sit directly for JEE Advanced 2015 too.

 JEE Advanced 2014 is scheduled on May 25 and will screen students for undergraduate programs offered by the IITs. The result for JEE Advanced 2014 will be declared on June 19, after which JEE counselling process will flag off.

According to the latest JEE Advanced 2014 notification, the exam will take place across India in seven IIT zones – namely IIT Bombay zone, IIT Delhi zone, IIT Guwahati zone, IIT Kanpur zone, IIT Madras zone and IIT Roorkee zone.

IIT JEE Advanced 2014 will be conducted in two shifts. The timings have been declared as:

  • Paper 1: from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and
  • Paper 2: from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
