Yes, human being is a heat engine.
Heat engine is a device which is used to convert heat enery into mechanical energy. The respiration process which occurs in human being is exothermic in nature. Heat is released during oxidation of food into glucose and energy and that energy in the form of heat. This generated heat is used for various metabolic processes to maintain normal temperature of the human body. In light of the above discussion we conclude that human being is a heat engine
