A 6 month old baby is having more heart beat because they are having samller heart size compared to adults and also with the samller heart the muscles will be having less distance to contract so the heart beat can happen faster
In addition to this volume of the heart goes up the cube with the length of that muscle so bigger animals can pump more blood {beat for beat} relative for smaller ones
