Crypts of Liberkuhn are glands present in intestinal epithelium of small intestine. They contain many cells which secrete intestinal juice. This juice is also known as Succus Entericus which brings about final digestion. It also contains Paneth cells which produce antibacterial lysozymes.

Brunner glands are also present in submucosa of duodenum. For knowing what is submucosa please study the histology of alimentary canal. Brunners gland secrete MUCIN (an alkaline watery fluid) which helps in neutralizing the acidic chyme.
