Vertebrates are much complex organism having a complex endocrine system where a multiple hormones could be release in order for target organ to get desired signal...Whereas invertebrates are less complex organisms where the system focusses on one neuro-endocrinal cell which send and receive signal to target organs, happening few steps in between sending and receiving the signal! Hence both class have distinct characteristics in terms of endocrine systems!Hope that solves your doubt
