we know that glycolysis held in prokaryote as well as eukaryote for the metabolism of food  but from this only 2 ATP is form
but in kreb cycle total metabolism of food take place and at the end of kreb cycle more ATP is formed as compare to glycolysis so that’s why it’s known as final common pathway of metabolism

thanks!!
I hope it will be helpful
