the fovea centralis present between the macula lutea is the yellow spot or the point of brightest vision..where the visual acuity is max...this is the reason why we move our eyes while reading something...to focus the words on the fovea.

Foves is the point. Because here comes are densely packed. So visual activity is greatest. You can refer to class 11 ncert also.Radha
