Chemical barrier constitute the third line of defence which antibiotics vaccinations and inteferons.
i) Antibiotics are the chemical or medicines whith a living origin that besides destroying the microbes, stop their growth, reproduction and render them in active
ii) Vaccines are weakened in activated germs of the same disease kept in a suitable chemical medium where as serum are readymade antibiotics produced in the body of animal to cow, horses, chicks etc.
iii) Interferons are the antiviral proteins released by the cells in response to viral infections.
