Hello Student

When the tall and dwarf plant produces gametes, by the process of meiosis the alleles of the parental pair segregate from each other and the only one allele is transmitted to a gamete. The Segregation of alleles is a random process and thus, there is 50 % chance of a gamete cantaining either alleles.

Four loci means four different alleles for example-AaBbCcDd.This is an example of heterozygous diploi organism with 4 loci. Thus the types of gametes it can procduce will be 2^4=16.

To find the no gamete there is a formula. It is n times of 2 where nis loci . So the organism will produce 16 gametes 2^4= 16
