It is a protrusion of the bottom of the hypothalamus at the base of the brain the hypothesis rest upon the hypo physical fossa of the sphenoid bone in the centre of the middle cranial fossa surrounded by a Sella turcica covered by diaphragm sellae are generally we can say that it is present in Sella turcica.
