Cervical vertebrae are universally present in the neck of all mammals, wheather it is long neck as in camel or giraffe or in short neck of a mouse. These are seven in number in all mammal except some sloth and sea cows. In neck of camel, there is a bony plate; between two vertebrae, which is responsible to increase the length of neck in camels.
