no , hypothalmus doesnot controll involuntary actions like breathing , instead it controll body temperature , hunger , thirst and sleep and provide a link between nervous and endocrine system .
and these actions are not under your controll , right ??
and medulla oblongata controlls involuntary actions such as breathing , blood pressure and heart beat . and its a part of brain stem .
