All eggs are arrested at an early stage (prophase I) of the first meiotic division as a primary oocyte (primordial follicle).
 
Hence option A is correct

The egg gets arrested in the first stage that is.  Prophase 1 of Meiosis 1.
 
Thus the correct option for this is option A
