Embryo sac is a cell that develops in the ovuleof flowering plants.
Typically it contains eight nuclei formed by free nuclear division of megaspore mother cell.megaspore mother cell divides by meiosis to give rise to four megaspores. one of the megaspore develops into the embryo sac the others abort.
