if this line is horizontally then coefficient of x should be zero.
 
hence 2- k = 0
hence k = 2

Der student , 
Where ever horizontal component of line is given then put x =0 , 
Wherever vertical line is given put y =0 
So , here put x =0 
2-k =0 
k=2
