Time period of a pendulum is given by the formula, T= 2pi * sqrt(l/g)

So if the length is increased by 44% i.e l’= 1.44l

The new time period, T’=2pi *sqrt(1.44l/g) = 2pi *1.2 * sqrt(l/g)

So the new time period is 1.2 times of the old one or you can say it increased by 20%.

Dear student
we can also do this by this short method
Because the length is increased by 44% , L = 1.44L
New time period = T* sqrt(1.44) = 1.2T
Thus there is 20% increasein time period.
