DNA, the genetic material of bacteria is isolated in purified form by treating thebacterial cells with enzyme, lysozyme to dissolve the cell wall. The RNA can be removed by treating them with enzyme, ribonuclease and proteins can be removed by treatment with enzyme protease which converts proteins to amino acids.
