There is nothing to do with `digestion` here. Actually alcoholic drinks contain alcohol. Although,small intestine is the main site of `absorption` ;alcohol present in alcoholic drinks gets `absorbed` in stomach as soon as the drink goes to stomach.

Dear student ,As alcohol is absorbed in stomach , Alcohol acts as a depressant on the brain and other nerve tissue. It slows down the functioning of cells and affects cerebellum and other parts of brain .It leads to difficulty in walking , speaking , blurred vision etc With Regards MahimaAskiitians forum
