Dear Student, Wavelength isthe distance, measured in the direction of propagation of awave, between two successive points in thewavethat are characterized by the same phase of oscillation. Wavelength and frequency are the two colsely related terms. Thanks.

Wavelength is the distancebetween identical points in the adjacent cycles of a waveform signal propogated in space or along a wire, as shown in the illustration. In wirelesssystems, this length is usually specified in meters,centimeters, or millimeters.
