Isn't wave particle duality of light actually cheating?

The Wave particle duality of light is being proved by various scientists. Some of the experiments like reflection, refraction cannot be explained by the particle nature and some like photoelectric effect, compton effect etc. cannot be explained by the wave nature. So, Light is believed to exhibit both natures accordingly. This is nature. It laid down the foundation of so many optical devices. Its a very amazing phenomenon.
