As indicated by malus, when totally plane energized light is episode on the analyzer, the force I of the light transmitted by the analyzer is specifically relative to the square of the cosine of edge between the transmission tomahawks of the analyzer and the polarizer. 
i.e I ∞ cos2θ 
law of malus is not material when there is no analyser.
