HI Harsha. hope you are doing well.
So, yes, the fringes are real. infact, when we do the experiment using a monochromatic light in the set up of youngs double sit experiemnt, we can actually see the fringe pattern on the screen. Had you used red light, you can actually see red frienges on the screen.
