u is refractive index
 
R = 2 f = r / u – 1
 
56 = r / u – 1
 
when curved surface is silvered
 
R = 2 * 10 = 20 = r / u
 
Now
 
56 / 20 = u / u – 1
 
1 – 1/u = 20/56 = 5/14
 
9/14 = 1/u
 
u = 14 / 9 = 1.555
