A thin hollow prism is filled with liquid.Angle of prism = 60°,Angle of minimum deviation=30°. What is the refractive index of the liquid?I remember only 2 options properly1) 1.412) 1.5.... (1.5 something)

Dear Student,

As angle of deviation(D) = 30 degree

Angle of Prism(A) = 60

And we also know that

Refractive index = sin(A+D/2)/sin A/2

n = sin((60+30)/2)/sin 60/2
n = sin 45/sin 30
n = √2
n = 1.41
