Edge of Deviation(D) = 30 
 
n – refractive list 
 
As we as a whole realize that 
 
n = (sin((A+D)/2))/sin(A/2)) 
 
n = (sin45/sin30) 
 
n = (1/√2)/(1/2) 
 
n =√2
