All the angles should be in degree

For  a prism of angle of refraction A , the angle of deviation for an angle of incidence i is given by, δ=i+e−A

The angle of incidence i = 60°. Angle of prism A = 30°. Angle between incident and emergent ray is called angle of deviation, δ = 30°.

Using Snells law

In the triangle , Angle at which it emerges is 90°.

Dear Student,
Please find below the solution to your problem.

For a prism of angle of refraction A , the angle of deviation for an angle of incidence i is given by, δ=i+e−A
In the given condition
the angle of incidence i = 60°
angle of prism A = 30°
angle between incident and emergent ray is called angle of deviation, δ = 30°.
Using Snells law
In the triangle , Angle at which it emerges is 90°
NOTE: All the angles should be in degree.

Thanks and Regards.
