A boy is standing in front of a straight plane mirror. His uncle is standing behind him. The height of the boy is 3 feet and that of the uncle is 6 feet. What is the minimum length of the mirror required so that the boy can completely see his uncles image in the mirror.

The question is similar to the derivation of the formula for minimum height of mirror required for a person standing midway to see the image of a wall behind him. = h/3Height of mirror is 6/3=2ft.Hope it helps
