How do we trace the image of a point kept on the axis of a lens which has been cut in 2 parts horizontally and kept at equal distances from the axis..?
The two parts acts as two different lenses and form two different images as the same case of covered half lens .
The image formation is same as that in case of half covered lens as shown in figure
