what happens if S1 & S2 are covered with two thin glass paltes of unequal thickness?

Dear Aarsia,

In this case by covering the slits with thin glasses of uneual thicknesses we are introducing a phase term and this decreases the spacing of the fringes due to net decrease of the optical path of the waves interfering.
