Is the formula “real depth/apparent depth = µ” valid if viewed from a position quite away from normal?

Dear Nikhil

No it will not be valid. in case of viewing other than vertically, the position of the image with angle, which the line of vision makes with the surface of separation of two media. as the angle increases, the apparent depth decreases.
