why not light follow CYCLOID like path (as it is the shortest time curve) in accordance with Farmat's least time principle? More over, path of light is affected by gravity too?

Dear padma

Actually principle is that rays of light traverse the path of stationary, not minimal, time..That's why they dont folow Cycloid.

Gravity is not effective on point masses.
