what should be the time gap between two sounds waves so that we can listen these two sepreately?

Sound persists in human hear for around 0.1s....so to distinctly hear two successive sound waves the time gap must be atleast 0.1s.
if u keep the time gap less than 0.1 sec then the two sounds will overlap and you will not be able to hear the two sounds properly
