what is correct wave equation 
y=A sin(wt-kx) or y=Asin(kx-wt) ???

Both are the correct forms.
 
They're essentially the same waves but hav a phase difference of 180 degrees
Asin(wt-kx) = -Asin(kx-wt) 
This proves it
