Total energy of of particle executing shm T.E.= max kinetic energy = ½ mω2a2
At extreme position kinwtic energy will be  zero So Potential energy at extreme position P.E. = T.E. = ½ mω2a2 = e(given)
then Kinetic energy at y = a/2
K = ½ mω2[a2 – a2/4]
So, K.E. = ¾ (½ mω2a2)
K..E = ¾ e
